Today Team 9 were very lucky to have Shaun in from City providing us with a great session all about disability awareness!
Team 9 are now aware of all of the different types of disabilities and how we can still achieve whatever we want!
Here are some pictures of our learning today!
Thank you to Mrs Starkey for organising such a special Christmas treat!
What a fantastic performance! All of the children had a fabulous time and laughed their socks off!
Thank you to Mrs Brady for organising a fantastic production to promote anti-bullying called ‘Just Joshing!’
It helped us recognise the different forms of bullying and also how to prevent it!
Last week was anti-bullying week!
‘All different, all the same!’
Year 5 created videos about how we are all different but all the same and how we should treat everybody equally and fairly!
To promote anti-bullying we wore odd socks and completed an exciting balloon race!
To raise money for Children in Need, the children of Charlestown dressed up as their favourite book characters and donated £1!
Wondering how to save energy? Ask our Year 6 children!
Thank you to the Year 6 children in Team 12 for their fantastic and amusing assembly all about electricity tips and how to save energy!
Yesterday we started our new topic which is all about North America!
The Year 5 and Year 6 children got together and mixed into teams to research different places within North America!
All of the children worked brilliantly in their teams, supporting each other with researching and recording information!
Today the children confidently presented all of their findings to children who were in different groups, researching different topics!
This afternoon parents were invited in to celebrate our learning about the Victorians with us!
Team 9 have worked really hard this term and have enjoyed learning about the Victorian days, how they wove and our trip to to Quarry Bank Mill!
Thank you to all of the parents that came to join us!
I hope we are just as enthusiastic about our next topic as we have been about the Victorians!
As we are now approaching Bonfire Night and Halloween the fire service came into school to explain how important it is to stay safe and make the right choices!
-Please remember to always stay with an adult and make sure an adult knows where you are at all times!
– When you are out on Halloween please do not knock on anyone’s door without an adult with you.
– Attend organised events for bonfires, do not do your own fireworks (you need to be 18 or over).
– If for any reason there is a fire, or anything catches fire please remember:
STOP, DROP AND ROLL!
Remember to enjoy yourselves!
